1. NEW SOP FROM SDMC EFFECTIVE 1ST MAY

The Sarawak Disaster Management Committee has issued a new and more relaxed SOP effective 1^st May 2022. Therefore please note the following changes in all churches:

• No more physical distancing required.
• No need to book for mass.
• No need to check in with MySejahtera or log book.
• No need to check vaccination status.
• No more car park mass. 
• No more live streaming of masses.
• However wearing of face mask is still mandatory within the church compound.

2. MONTH OF THE ROSARY

Let us pray the Rosary during this month of May together as a family for peace in all families and in the world. 

3. FIRST FRIDAY OF THE MONTH ADORATION

Date:      6^th May 2022

Place:     Adoration Chapel of St. Anthony Church

Time:      12 noon – 12 midnight

Please write your name on the sign-up sheet on the Church notice board or WhatsApp to the parish number (0162248126) to book your adoration time.  Parishioners can also drop your prayer intentions in the box at the entrance of the Church or send in prayer intentions through WhatsApp to the parish number.        

4. PRIESTS ANNUAL RETREAT

Our priests will be having their annual retreat from 9^th till 13^th May 2022 in Sibu.  There will be no mass and holy hour at Stella Maris Church on Wednesday 11^th May.  However, daily mass and holy hour will be as usual at St. Anthony’s Church.   

5. SUNDAY SCHOOL (ENG, BM, CHI)

There will be no Sunday School this Sunday (1^st May) and next Sunday (8^th May) because of the school holidays.  Sunday School will resume on 15^th May 2022. 

6. MOTHERS’ DAY

Next Sunday (8^th May 2022) is Mothers’ Day.  There will be a special blessing for all mothers at all the Masses.  Let us remember to pray for all mothers especially during this Rosary month.
